Breakaway
(level 1) training course profile

This is a two day practical course covering the full ECC&R Level 1 syllabus
which provides in depth training on several different methods of escape from
various holds. It is suitable for anyone working in an environment where
someone may become violent and is essential for anyone wishing to progress
to Level 2 Restraint.

Aims
To give learners:
A
knowledge and understanding of all ECC&R Breakaway methods and related
legislation and
national guidelines
Practical
exercises in all Breakaway methods

Objectives
To give learners the confidence and ability to safely and legally escape
from any aggressive or violent actions by a third party, protecting self and
others around and so feel safe in their working environment.

Certification
Visual assessments are made by our tutors to ensure all learners practice
and apply correctly the methods taught. Successful learners are issued with
our Level 1 Breakaway certificates. Certificates are valid for 12 months
when a one day refresher course would be required.
